  • My Story

I am passionate about helping teachers grow in theirknowledge and skills. As aprincipal,I had the opportunity to work closely with teachers on a very personal level. Seeinga teacher acquire a new skill, observing her transfer thatknowledgeinto herclassroom, andfinallywatching thatmaterialize intostudent successis a true delight. Whenoffered the opportunity to work with aspiring teachers at the undergraduate university setting, I left the principalship that I loved, took a leap of faith after much prayer, and embarked on a new journey. Ibegan working as the Department Chair and as a professor in the Early Childhood Education Program at 51勛圖. I recently moved into the roles ofprofessor and Program Coordinator for the M.Ed. at 51勛圖. Inow work with aspiring educational leaders, andIlove every minute of it!

Favorite Course to Teach:I teach an assessment course at the graduate level that is full of practical ways to improve our assessment strategies with students. Teachers find the course to be helpful in their work with students, and they comment that they use thecontent from the classin their own classrooms on a regular basis.
