    I look back at my own educational career and realize how formative my undergraduate experience was in shaping my interests, convictions, and desires to continue my education. As Hugh Brock noted at the Annual Meeting of the North Greenville Baptist Association in 1894, “true education prepares the heart as well as the mind both for time and for eternity.”Istrive to continue that legacy withinmy own teaching and withinthe honors curriculum.Ibelieve nurturing the life of the mind is an important aspect of our Christian calling and essential to Christian discipleship.
